Handmade Arcade 5!

The cultural corner representing all things Art and Indie is back this 4th August with a whole lotta good stuff!

We'll be feeling soulful and sultry with soaring summer tunes from Emily and the little V,  Jamie Gould, Rory Potts and McCoys Cafe barista Barney who'll all be setting a light summer mood on the terrace from 11am to 5pm. Whatever the weather we promise it'll be a warming experience :)

There will also be workshops from Bunyip Beads & Buttons and a whole host of neighborhood activities - including trawling the rails in the boutique vintage havens, drop in for a coffee and make a rad animal at MakeArt, or hunting for Comics at OMG - Fore Street and all it's charms will be waiting!

Saturday 4th August will also see a new addition to the usual McCoy's Arcade shops with the launch of Velveteen Clothes Emporium, the shop will be a complete surprise to all of us!

We'll be supping on No Guts No Glory's special Homemade Lemonade, eating locally sourced beautiful food from McCoys Cafe, sipping on Milkshakes from The Shaker Maker milkshake bar as well as getting stuck into a host of vegan cupcakes and homemade treats that'll be hanging around in the Arcade!

As well as all of this we will also have a lovely bunch of selected artists, designers, makers and collectives showcasing and selling affordable art! Take a peek at what's on offer this month..

If you think you have things that would fit the Arcade and it's unique Handmade appeal then please do get in touch - T'would be lovely to hear from you...

This month will be pretty hands-on as we have nail illustrator and bike enthusiast Kay Stanley, The Painter&Decorator - who'll be  brightening nails with great pastel colours and sunny designs!

Heather Sturdey-Sherwood from Little Owl Crafts will have some brilliantly hand spun and dyed yarns!

We managed to tempt the gorgeous Emily - maker of Daisy Chain Headbands to come back with her tree of flowers and sing us a song while she's here :)

Charity based home grown project Common Goals will be once again selling their range of Organic hand screen-printed tees designed by punk rock bands with money from the sales going to charity! Just like all No Guts No Glory tees they're Screen-printed by Get a Grip whose studio runs entirely on renewable energy! That's pretty rad.

We'll also be joined by veteran Handmade Arcaders Benjamin Wright & the Plymouth Collective, including the brilliant Laura Jayne Weeks and her fox bandits, Ben Challen and a few other familiar faces!

The Sinister Edge of Whimsy (Helen Drever) will be bringing her intriguing hand painted and designed peg-doll characters!

More stalls to be announced in the next few days!

Enjoy the Sunshine :)
